empowering leaders

What makes the Bitner Phillips Partnership different?

The Bitner Phillips Partnership shows leaders how to enhance workplace outcomes through the application of coaching techniques, creating safe, supportive places where people feel respected, supported and heard. On adopting a coaching mindset, leaders can create strong, creative and collaborative workplaces that heighten organisational outcomes.

To achieve this our approach is unique

We work inductively by conveying learning to the audience’s subconscious while their mind is on something else. This method accelerates learning, meaning the learners learn much more in far less time, and with much less effort.

Thank you for such a transformative coaching relationship.  You have really helped me to see myself, my colleagues and my own workplace behaviour in a whole new way. The insights you have shared and the techniques you have taught me will stay with me as part of my mental toolbox - because they work!  We can change attitudes by changing our own attitude. And we can envisage a future that we want to inhabit, and work out what we need to do to get there - as you have set out in your “future-basing” guide.  Working with you has been a wonderful journey, Bill.

Our training is defined under two separate divisions:

Content

Each conversation has at least two parts. One is the subject or topic, and the other is the process or how the subject is handled. Work discussions ARE the content, but a Coach will ask questions both to gather information (content), and more importantly to provoke and observe a response in the receiver (process).

Process

Working above the content of conversations with attention focused on how the client maintains their reported difficulty and not on their actual story. It is possible (though unusual in the workplace) to successfully coach a client without conscious knowledge of what they are dealing with. In personal work, this can be really liberating for the client who is not obliged to share private and deeply troubling information.

Training leaders in the practical abilities of coaching

Most coaching training teaches What To Do (that is, coaching competencies) and how to do it. Whilst naturally including the above, our training emphasises How To Be, the quality of relationship between Coach and client which makes everything possible. Through this approach, methods and techniques are subordinated to the quality of relationship for their effectiveness instead of being the focus.

In addition to training leaders in the practical abilities of coaching, we emphasise the importance of thinking like a Coach and remaining alert to the many day to day opportunities where a coaching response will contribute to enhanced relationships and collaboration.

After leaving my job and 3 months of unsuccessful interviews I began to feel the pressure and loss of confidence. Izabela’s questions and explanations were very insightful and brought to the surface the true feeling of what was impeding my development and progression. She led me through an exercise and unexpected next steps and I’m very grateful to have been introduced and exposed to this. What is most fascinating is that I feel capable of doing this for myself now. I wish I had come across this sooner in my life.

Our values

At the Bitner Phillips Partnership, our approach to coaching, facilitation and training is underpinned by our core values which are at the heart of everything we do

Trust

Building rapport and credibility is essential to a leader’s ability to gain trust and have their teams follow and support them. Bill has written a number of articles on trust, about how leaders can create trust in the workplace, which can be viewed at his LinkedIn account.

Care & Compassion

Care and concern for the wellbeing of anyone who asks for help. This involves accepting and respecting the human being for just who they are, without judging or expecting that they should be different.

Passion

We are tremendously passionate about empowering people, showing them their struggles are the result of beliefs and assumptions they hold about the world around them. The world can be an amazing, nourishing place and finding your place in it made easier by discovering individuality, humanity and freedom rather than being bound by the limitations of social conditioning.

Professionalism & Integrity

Professionalism and integrity involves acknowledging and accepting responsibility, taking ownership when we make mistakes and taking steps to correct them. It is also about being completely open and honest with people, delivering what you promise and more.

Rapid Results

By using both the conscious and unconscious, NLP can accelerate learning processes and enable extraordinary results in a much shorter timeframe.

Authenticity

Authenticity is really “what you see, is what you get”. It is about being aligned with your own values, being free of agendas and hidden messages, and demonstrating congruence at every level.

Over time the emphasis moved from traditional management development to leadership development, and Bill helped create an environment of realness, closeness and intimacy. He helps people find new ways to bring themselves to the challenges and opportunities they face. He helps them reflect on their behaviour with others and find powerful ways to bring themselves in a different way in all sorts of situations.
